Alaska 2010
It will be my privilege to lead a group of NCU students on a missions trip to Alaska’s Inside Passage in May 2010.
We will be going to a couple of small Indian villages where there are home missions churches. Our goal will be to help these
ministries with their ministry to children and families. The team of students will be selected within the next few weeks.
They will then start raising their own funds and support to make the trip.
We would like to take Puppets, Puppet stage, Costume Character, Set of Kristal Bells, and other illustrative ministry items
to leave with the ministries there.
Could you and your Children’s Ministry help with this project? Would you be willing to take an offering for this
project? This would be an opportunity for the children to see their missionary dollar used to minister to other children.
Each person or group sponsoring a Missionary puppet will receive a report of our trip with photos of our ministry in Alaska.
The cost for a puppet ranges from $45.00 to $85.00 so any amount you choose to send will be fine. We are also looking for
some ministries that may what to take on a larger challenge like a costume character ($400) a puppet stage ($500) or set of
bells with songs ($300.)
This project has been approved by the National BGMC office as an official BGMC project! If your church gives to BGMC, you
may give and also receive BGMC credit! All funds sent to us will be reported to the National office and added to your 2009
or 2010 BGMC giving.
All money sent to our project account will be used to take ministry equipment (puppets, puppet stage and other items) to
leave in Alaska. All offerings should be sent by March 15, 2010 to allow time to purchase the equipment we will take. Mail
all gifts to: Dan Rector, North Central University, 910 Elliot Ave. S., Minneapolis, MN 55404. Checks should be made to: "Reaching
Kids" with notation: Puppets for Alaska. A tax deductible receipt will be sent for your gift and we will make sure
you get BGMC credit for your giving.
Thank you for your consideration and participation in reaching children in Alaska.
Sincerely,
Daniel E. Rector
